On November 15, 1967, in a humble little Quonset hut along the Old Glenn Highway, Peters Creek Chapel was born.
First Endeavor
Dick Benjamin, the founder of Abbott Loop Community Church, believed that God was in the business of starting churches. Peters Creek Chapel was Abbott Loop's first endeavor.
Pastoral Leadership
Peters Creek Chapel was pastored for 2 1/2 years by Bill Snyder. In June of 1970, God sovereignly brought Frank Maus into the ministry and led him to this church. Under Frank's pastorship, the name was changed to Peters Creek Christian Center. He pastored Peters Creek Chapel from June 1970 until October 1995, upon which time he semi-retired and turned the church over to his son Tim.
Family of Chuches
Since that humble beginning, Abbott Loop has been responsible for starting many churches all over the world. It is this family of churches that we feel a certain connection to and fellowship with, as our root can be traced back to the same origin.
Greatly Blessed
God has truly blessed our chruch greatly over the years. He has taken us from a small group of people meeing in a little Quonset hut to what you see today. To Him be all the glory and praise!
